December 21, 2011, 11: 08 Jakarta, 21 Dec (PL) at least four people died and about 100 was rescued after the sinking of an overloaded ferry people in Moluccas, today East of the Indonesian archipelago, confirmed the national disaster management agency. The maritime accident, the second happened in Indonesian waters in less than a week, occurred as a result of excess weight, bad weather and heavy rains, which have compounded further rescue tasks, suspended until tomorrow. Authorities disagreed about the numbers of passengers carrying the ship and data officers vary between 100 and 200. It's the second maritime accident in Indonesia after the registered last Saturday, when a boat sank off the coast of Java with more than 200 immigrants bound for Australia to seek asylum in the oceanic country. Rescue teams recovered Wednesday 51 corpses and are still missing about 150 people with little hope of being found alive. The work of search enabled regain 49 survivors, 34 of them discovered within hours of the accident and the other 15 last Monday. The precariousness of the country's infrastructure, the lack of safety measures and human and goods overloading are causes of maritime incidents reported each year in this Asian archipelago.
